Internet Cafe

without comments

We had a great day today seeing all sorts of animals and birds and I’ll talk about that later.

I’ve gone for a walk and I’m now sitting in a nice little Internet cafe with a proper keyboard, mouse and a faster connection to the Internet. It is a lot easier doing posts this way.  With the laptop and the slow connection through my daughter’s mobile, I’ve tended to use Notepad to write the post and then copy it into WordPress.

As I’m not expected back before dark in a couple of hours I’m also looking up a few things we’ve seen today and generally correcting the posts made on the laptop.

Sleeping With My Daughter

without comments

Or not really sleeping as we chatted until about two in the morning after a very good meal.

It’s funny really, but several of my female friends will think nothing of sharing a bed with another woman, be they friend, mother, cousin or daughter. But how many men will? My man certainly won’t.

Sadly or should I say luckily we didn’t get picked up last night, although it was fun sitting at the bar watching the other guests. My daughter was annoyed as one guy from Bolton who chatted to us whilst he got some drinks, thought I was the elder sister.  (I wouldn’t let her forget that later.) But we are quite alike and do have a lot of similar mannerisms. The main difference is that I usually wear glasses and she doesn’t. But we do have the same darkish blond hair although mine is cut much shorter than my daughter’s.

We did at one point think we might have struck lucky, but the two guys who came in together for a meal, turned out to be avid smokers.

So we turned out to be the last out of the restaurant at about eleven-thirty and as she didn’t want to wake the children, she joined me in my room until the mosquito net.

Let’s say the talk started mundane and got fruitier and much more personal as the night wore on.  In the end I turned over and went to sleep with a smile on my face.
